I bought flowers today but they didn't come with any "flower food" (you know, the little packet that sometimes comes in bouquets). What can I add to the water to help my flowers stay healthy longer?
What can I put in the vase to help my flowers last longer?
Crush up a regular aspirin and mix it in the water. After a few days, clip the stems off the flowers again. That allows the water to continue to be absorbed.
Reply:Asprin
Reply:my mom always put an asperin in hers
Reply:Go back to store where you bought them....They should be free!!!!
Reply:I'd suggest getting some flower food in a larger package from a grocery or gardening store.
Reply:cold sprite or 7up and ice, change it out every other day and put the flowers in front of a window for a little while each day...cut the stems 1/2 inch from the bottom at a diagonal and make sure no leaves are in or near the water.
kept my valentines flowers alive until 2 weeks ago.
