Why don't men buy flowers more often?

Its a simple gesture and it can be so rewarding... so why don't you guys do it more... girls LOVE it.. especially getting them at work but even just a bunch from the grocers on a weekday evening... why is it soooo hard for you guys to do?

i have to agree with the 1st answer flowers aren't that cheep atleast the ones u diserve. with ur pic i'd buy blue roses.

Reply:Men don't have the capacity to think about things in the same way that women do (this is not a putdown - we don't have the capacity to think the same way men do either) about a lot of things.





Have you seen the price of flowers lately? %26lt;lol%26gt;. Also I've been told, "but they just die anyway." Perhaps we should make them a list of simple things to do to make us happy. They should do the same for us.

If you time your sx right you would recieve flowers at job (coworkers envy! recievers pride) and in the evenings!

Reply:Generally, we men just don't understand how meaningful it is to women. Once a guy 'gets it', he will do it more often! So, help him understand how it makes you feel and why you LOVE HIM for thinking of you and showing his love through flowers.

Reply:because some guys just do not think of things like that, they dont think the way we do. some men find other ways to be romantic...not always in material items but, in actions and in words.
Reply:I think guys only do it when they are trying to win your heart, after they have it, they don't think it is necessary anymore.

Reply:You know why? Because most men (including me at times) are lazy. It's that simple. Another good reason, which I had an issue with was....what other flowers do you give someone you like or love, besides roses....which are so cliche.





You put the average guy in a flower store, he will make it easy on himself as possible, and get the roses.





I actually chose to look on the net while at work at what flowers mean what....so I'd have knowledge when I walked in the store. But that's me.

Reply:Probably because the guys you are referring to don't understand love the same way you do. According to the book the 5 love languages every person understands love diffrently. Useually in 5 broad categorys. those 5 are:


- Touch


- Gifts


- Acts of Service


- Quality Time


- Words of Affirmation


If the guys main love language is touch, he will like hugs and kisses, if it's gifts, he will give you flowers and other things, if its acts of services he will like to mow the lawn or do choirs for you, if it's quality time he will like to just talk to you, if it's words of affirmation he will give you lots of compliments. You can useually tell what his love language is by what he complains the most that you don't do. It will probably also be what he does alot. I take it yours is gifts, since you want to be given flowers. You probably also love to get teddy bears or anything, no matter the price, as long as it showes that the guy thought about you while getting the gift. However, if it's not his love language, he won't think about it. As he is expressing his love in other forms.

I love to buy my wife flowers but it seems to have got to a point that now if i do, i must be covering for something or want something - bit sad really
Reply:guys are affraid of paying flowers alot cause then the wamen will think there up to somethinga and they want something in return
Reply:for some guys it is pride...some don't have money...flowers aren't always cheap and if a guy does something for his girl...he wants it to be the best...and a lot of guys dont' get that it doesn't matter how much it costs...I mean..if they are cheap..that is one thing...but they dont' have to get the most expensive...though they think they do...





I still by my girl flowers all the time...it has been a year and a half...





Sometimes I just pick some from my yard...that is easier and it means more in soem cases
