Nobody buys me flowers, should I buy them for myself?

I am not complaining. I feel funny getting flowers that are not for someone else, but some people say we should give ourselves flowers to pamper ourselves. True?

Yes I used to feel the same way, but then I thought that the beauty that comes into my life will in no way be determined by other people. What if no one ever thinks to buy you flowers for the rest of your life, then will you just settle for no flowers. Of course not, buy your own flowers and love them as if someone else gave them to you. If you don't treat yourself, who will?

Reply:I liked your question ... a story to sahre . not a bout flowes about grdaution... when I graduated from college with a Master degree, I was so happy and felt that I was expecting to receive congrats card from friends, relatives, people I know at school, my brother was generous , he bought me a digital camera. still, I needed something really simple. I was hoping to receive congrats greeting card. I haven't got one


I went ot the store, and bought one, I write myself congratulate words for my success, cheering words to feel the occasion, I addressed the envelope to my mailing address, dropped it inside the mail box, which is less than one mill from where I live. next day afternoon , I found it in the mail. I cheer up and a bit of excitement and funny feeling I had ....new experience.

Reply:Absolutely! Why would you feel strange in the least about picking up a bunch of flowers for yourself anytime you felt in the mood? It's normal.....that's what cultured people do.
Reply:I buy flowers for myself weekly. I love having them around the house. If I want to splurge, I go to the local farmer's market and buy a massive boquet for $20. If I'm saving money, I take out 3 glass bottles I've taken the labels off of because I like the shape of them... and then I buy three roses for $6. I put a rose in each bottle.





Either way, I see the flowers everyday and I feel brighter when I do. Even if I just replenish one rose at a time in a bottle by my bathroom sink because that's all I can afford, I still do it every week. It adds beauty and elegance to my life and home I get to see several times a day, causing me to smile or just stop to gaze or smell. So worth it. If someone else wants to buy me flowers, then that just means I have more around the house than usual. But I always have them.
Reply:If you want flowers... then go out and buy yourself some flowers. If you want them delivered to your office, forget about that first person who responded.... go ahead and have them delivered where ever you feel you will enjoy them the most. Men don't get it... it's a female thing. Of course they are most appreciated when it's a surprise. I feel that I am worth it and I will treat myself to some flowers. It doesn't stop there...you have to occasionally purchase the heart shaped box of chocolates at Valentines day, some nice jewelry, a bottle of purfume and a bouquet of balloons. :)
Reply:If you like flowers and you would like to have some around your place certainly buy them for yourself. You will find them uplifting.

Reply:I've done it many times! It's not weird, it spruces up the house. I wouldn't have them delivered to work or school, just pick up a bouquet on the way home. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's decorating!

Reply:a lot of people buy Flowers, fresh, for their homes/ So why not for the office you spend so many hours in. go for it. No qualms, no judgment, do not question your self, just enjoy the beauties.

I love flowers. Tulips are my favorite! If I want them I buy them. No hesitation there at all.


If you wait on someone to do this for you then you are wasting time.


Just do it. treat yourself to something that makes you feel good.


You could also make someone else smile by treating them to some flowers. Don't wait for a holiday or a reason. Just do it because you can, and want to.

Why shouldn't you pamper youself, you deserve too. Go out and get yourself your favorite flowers and put them where you can see them and smile.
Reply:Why not...If it makes you feel good, sure.! I buy myself flowers all the time. I don't have them delivered, but I do buy them, it makes me feel good to see fresh flowers in my home.
