Where can I buy fresh cut flowers in bulk delivered to me?

Where can I obtain fresh cut flowers directly from the grower.

Where can I buy fresh cut flowers in bulk delivered to me?
Try Sam's Club. We use lots of cut flowers in our B%26amp;B, and Sam's delivers weekly at almost wholesale!
Reply:The floral nursery
Reply:any flower shop can help you order, if this is a business venture use your eic# and order yourself, and depending on where you live it can be hard to get fresh cut directly from grower...lots of systems in place (middlemen) but if your order iis large or often repeated then you may find a grower to deliver/send direct.

Where can i buy crystallized flowers?

Making a croquembouche.....can you suggest anything else i could decorate it with????

Where can i buy crystallized flowers?
Make them yourself, just find some small flowers, like violets, or use rose petals, paint them with beaten egg white, and sprinkle them with castor sugar (fine, but not powdered) let them dry and they are ready to use.
Reply:I don't know where you are, but here in Australia alot of the supermarkets have them, you can do it yourself fairly easily, just make sure you choose the right flowers (google it), or try to find a shop that sells cake decorating supplies, it will be easier if you live in a city and they should be able to help you.
Reply:You can easily make them by starting off with edible flowers. Roses petals are a beautiful and common choice. Here's how to do it: http://homecooking.about.com/od/dessertr...
Reply:You can buy crystallized flowers from this web site and for cheat.%26gt; http://www.justflowers.com
Reply:u can make them urself.

Can I buy seeds now and then save them to start seedlings for next years flowers?

Here's the thing. I dont have alot of extra money but I like to have flowers in the spring/summer. I noticed seeds are much cheaper than packs of flowers. But I dont want to have to wait for them you grow this year. If I buy seed packs now of the flowers I want next year and then save them to start seedlings indoors around next March. Would they be to old by then?

Can I buy seeds now and then save them to start seedlings for next years flowers?
That's exactly what you should be able to do. The plants should produce seed and at the right time you should be able to collect the seed for next years crop. A good method of growing seed plants is to mark the individual plants you want to produce seed for you. Put a colored twist tie around the stalks of the plants that you will allow to flower and go to seed. Do not dead head these plants as you would the remainder of the crop. Harvest the seed heads on a dry day, hanging them in an airy, dry spot under a roof until the plants are completely dry and the seeds can be shaken or beaten out of the seed heads and pods.

As far as saving seeds you purchased this year and saving them to sow next spring, you may find that method a little unproductive. Lots of annual seed is good for a limited number of years. Usually only one or two, perhaps as many as five or more depending on the seed variety. Seed germination rates tend to fall as time goes by. Perhaps the best way to preserve seed for extended periods of time is to put the seed packets in a closed plastic plastic bag and stick them in the freezer. One method of collecting seed for next years garden is to ask your friends and neighbours if they would allow you to collect seed heads from their plants. Often the plants that our neighbours and fellow gardeners grow are the ones that do well in our areas. Many flowers will seed themselves and if you collect the seed then sow it in the fall, in the spring those seeds will germinate and grow new flowers. I grow poppies, calendula, cosmos, johnny jump-ups, violets, forget-me-nots and several others that will seed themselves and grow every year with little help from me. If you have some good friends or generous neighbours perhaps they would allow you to take a root divisions from their flowering perennials, either now or in the fall. Perennials will establish themselves and produce beautiful blooms year after year with some feeding, weeding and general maintenance. I grow peonies, delphiniums, various lillies, day lillies, angelica, monarda, echinacea, lungwort, bleeding heart and various bulbs such as tulips, crocus and daffodils. All of the plants flower at various times of the season and continue to propagate new versions of themselves on a continuous basis throughout the growing period. Try trading some gardening time with your friends and neighbours for seeds and plant divisions. Not only will you end up with some fine plant specimens, you will get to know your neighbours better as well as learning more about various garden plants and various methods of gardening. Have Fun!
Reply:Not all of them. It depends on what kind of flower seeds you purchase, the quality of the seeds, and even the storage of the seeds.

Annuals are very cheap at Lowe's or HomeDepot, and they continue to bloom from April until late September, even in Pennsylvania, where I live. They increase the "curb appeal" of your home.
Reply:Each seed has a limited amount of food it slowly feeds on while dormant to still keep it alive... the length of time that seed can survive is called viability... its different plant to plant... but your best bet would be to just wait... you can order seeds you wouldn't find in stores from the 2 sites attached...

What kind of flowers to buy a dance teacher?

For Christmas I'd like to get my ballet /tap/ jazz teacher a small bouquet of flowers but I have no idea what kind! Any ideas?

((I know I have a long time to think about it, but I tend to get excited when it comes to christmas =D ))

What kind of flowers to buy a dance teacher?
Go to a flower shop and ask the florist for his/her oinion. They have many different kinds of arrangements that include coffee mugs or teddy bears or whatever. Lots of nice ideas.
Reply:Maybe buy flowers in their own dirt - like a plant that can be kept alive for ages and may even bloom next year. Cut flowers are gorgeous, but v expensive and the plant idea means that you get to see the flowers several time.

Azaleas are blooming now aren't they? Or a Christmas cactus with those long red blooms.

Keep dancing anyway, warm up and cool down too.
Reply:Something bright and fun, like Lilies or Zinnias.
Reply:Pose-ies? lol

I know, I know......that was baaaaaaaaad!!!!

Any flower would do, I would think. I would try to stay in the red and white range, though. Also, you might want to ask your florist to add a touch of glittery or sparkly sprays or ribbons. Sparkles are always dazzling to everyone.

I think I'd ask for plenty of varied greenery, too. Ask for a little bit of fern type greenery and some of the soft wispy kinds, too. It is a cheap way to make your bouquet larger.

Hope this helps.....I used to be a florist
Reply:if it is a girl get her carnations if it is a guy get him roses%26lt;3

Is it cheaper to buy flowers from the grocery story than from the florist?

Grocery stores like HEB, Walmart, etc.

Is it cheaper to buy flowers from the grocery story than from the florist?
Yes. Sometimes the quality and choices aren't as good as at a florist but they are cheaper.
Reply:The grocery store is always cheaper and always walmart. Because they have the ability to buy flowers in bulk for like there million stores they have they can sell them at cheaper prices. Flower shops are usually individually owned and marked up a lot. They are a better quality than you would get at walmart so you have to decided what you want more cheaper or better quality.
Reply:florist

there are much freasher
Reply:Absolutely a grocery store. It may not always be a variety there but with a nice ribbbon bow tying the stems together, you`ve got a winner. Most stores sell accessories for .99 cents.
Reply:Yes. It is usually much cheaper to buy flowers this way. But the key to not looking like a cheapskate is to give the person something much more valuable than flowers, your time and attention.

Deliver the flowers yourself and spend some time with this person to show them just how much they mean to you. Maybe surprise them and take them to lunch.
Reply:Usually and you can ask them to wrap the flowers in tissue paper w/a tie and they will do so for free at the grocery stores.

Don't know if you have a Krogers grocery store where you live, but they will cater to you.
Reply:NO
Reply:yes but less nice.....

Why do people buy flowers and mulch when the weather is bad and it is like raining? Is it that necessary?

The poor people in the lawn and garden store departments have to get wet and carry all that stuff. It just seems a little rude and odd to me. What do you think?

Why do people buy flowers and mulch when the weather is bad and it is like raining? Is it that necessary?
They are bored sitting at home while its raining so they go shopping. Esp for items they can use once the weather clears up.

Trust me. They dont think at all about the people who have to carry the wet stuff. The shopping public is very rude. About 40% of them . Higher than you would think.
Reply:Well, I for one do not plan my schedule around the weather. Instead, I have to plan around my job and family responsibilities. Sometimes the only opportunity I have to go to the garden center is on a Saturday morning. I can't wait until the next time the weather is perfect and the store is open. Mulch does not go bad -- you can buy it weeks in advance. Flowers will be fine given the proper lighting and water. I have had a 6-pack of pansies for the past two weeks that I have not had time to plant. I over-bought at the store and ran out of room to put the last few flowers. The will have to wait until I get paid so that I can purchase a new flower pot. They will be fine until then.
Reply:We're all so busy these days! It's hard to find time to do all our necessary chores, such as yard work. If Saturday afternoon is the only chance, then that's when it's gotta be done - rain or shine. I'm sure those customers aren't crazy about working in the rain, either. But you can't expect people to put their lives on hold just so the whiney kid at the garden shop doesn't get his hair wet. He's getting paid to do a job... and if that means working in the rain sometimes, well, that's life! We all do what we gotta do.
Reply:Perhaps they want to brighten up your day. Flowers are so beautiful and when you receive them you feel special. Anyways when it is raining it feels like a wet useless day . But if you did receive flowers on that day you would feel special and appreciated
Reply:maybe the people dont know it is going to rain when they came in or maybe they needed the stuff anyway and decided to get it then since they were already at the store.
Reply:It may be the only opportunity they have. I carry my own stuff, anyway.
Reply:I'm jealous that you are in a place where it's rainy right now.

Where to buy fresh flowers in Bangalore?

Namaste

Do you know of a source of fresh flowers?

I am looking for roses and jasmines for a mala, and for other leaves and flowers, too.

I did find some things in Russell Market, but I am looking for other places to buy flowers, as well as places to buy flower seeds and plants.

Thank you
